My favorite

I think that the whole movie all together has caused me to raise huge concerns on what they are doing and what we as a country can do. I do not believe that we will ever see results any time soon but I do in fact believe that one day we will come to the conclusion that McDonald's has to serve food products that are not modified to the point that it has these horrible effects on us. I have always been the type of person who stops and thinks about a topic from the other side and with that being said McDonald's is a company just like Microsoft, Walmart and even Star bucks and they are out to make a profit. In order to make a profit off a .99 cent burger what does McDonald’s have to do to achieve this? If you were expecting to get a healthy meal off the dollar menu that only took 3 minutes too cook isn't there something wrong with you?

So why is this one my favorite? Well this one is my favorite because it just doesn't question what our beloved McDonald’s is doing but rather the people that go there and expect quality for the price of nothing. I cannot express the idea that they are just a COMPANY, that is out to make a profit. If they did not make a profit, like any company they will not be here tomorrow. A company has to make a profit to remain being a company, that is a fact, no question about it. So the real concern that I loved that I pointed out was, do people really expect a HEALTHY FILLING meal for just a few bucks? Yes if you cannot afford a good meal then yes a 1$ burger will do, but if you expect it to remain at just a 1$ do you honestly expect McDonald’s to give you more than a $1 is worth? How can anyone expect to go to the counter and ask for a large fry 2 double cheese burgers and an extra-large drink to actually be HEALTHY? It is nowhere near of being healthy so what are these people expecting? Cheap food will always be a result of cheap labor and cheap ingredients. McDonald's’ is trying to survive just like any other joint out there so are they in the wrong or the customers? Ask me? Well I say both, both are INSANE, but I can tell you three things if McDonald’s did shut down 1. People will complain. 2. Another company will be made. 3. Competition prices will go up. So why not continue to make billions would you honestly stop? I wouldn’t.

My 6 questions!

What did we learn from the film? Well for starters we learned a whole a lot about McDonald's and the type of food that they are serving their customers. But before we go into that lets start from the beginning we learned that a man set out to make a point and that was to prove that McDonald's is in fact a bad choice when it comes to ordering food at fast food restaurants. We also learned about the many effects of eating at McDonald's every single day which was completely horrible (no brainier right?).  Another huge point that we learned about was that not only does it have effects on your body but as well as your emotions and how you even think!

Now I do not know what exactly would shock you, but the fact that he become excited/happy when he was about  eat again at McDonald's and right after eating he become. Now what is so shocking about that you might ask? Why should a company be able to serve food that has the ability to control if a person becomes happy or sad? Doesn't that bring up the concerning question “what exactly is in these burgers?” How can a plain burger have such a huge effect on our emotions? Or even how we think? Does that even sound right to you? Because it sure doesn't to me so one last question is what IS THE SECRET? If it truly is just a plain burger that is.

What problematic concepts do I see in the Film? Well just like my response to what questions/what shocked me was how can a simple burger have such a huge effect one someone’s emotions?  Why should a product that we feed our self’s, our families and our friends have the ability to do this? It is very clear that there is something inside the food that makes people come to this point. Another concept that I think of is even with major profits that the company manages to bring in shouldn't the government be doing something about this? Why can we not stop eating there? For my last two concepts which are probably my most concerning ones are if I was the CEO would I do something about it and do the effects that McDonald's has on the U.S match the effects that it has on other countries? I ask these huge concepts and will continue to research about them because did our government make a deal with McDonald's? Does stricter countries like China allow McDonald's to have the same chemicals/ingredients in their burgers?

I think that the whole movie all together has caused me to raise huge concerns on what they are doing and what we as a country can do. Reflection

Like everyone who has seen this very shocking film it was an eye opener for me as well! Unlike most people I am actually able to not only say that I know many people who eat at McDonalds but I have worked there before as well. I for one definitely agree when anyone says that too many people count on fast food to count as meal. Too many people try to make a fast food meal count as a well homemade meal. What Morgan did for the whole world was just amazing and that was exposing what McDonalds does to the human body we are not meant to eat fast food all the time. Fast found should always be a last resort and probably 1-2 a month but tats it. When I was working at McDonalds I would see people come in and order food for every meal and sometimes even bring their kids with them. The food that is made at any fast food joint is not meant to be good for us it is made in matter of minutes and sold. And I do not believe that McDonalds is the person/company to blame they are operating like any business, it is our fault that we have come to the point, all we eat is fast food and because of that more and more people are obesity and more  kids and adults are having health problems more than ever. Do you honestly think that there is not a connection between the amount of people who are eating at fast food places and Americans health? OF course there is a connection but at the same time we cannot blame the company they did not tie us down force feed us. It is called self-control and more people need to be informed on how these $1 burgers are altering our body and our futures. I do agree that something’s needs to change, what exactly that is I just do not know!

My question!

I have already started too really like the idea of how we don't have to sit in a boring classroom and read a book then simply write about it! I love the idea that instead of the old fashion way, we are creating our own unique way of writing. So what is my question you may ask? Well for my classmates and my Instructor, shouldn't this be how all college writing classes be like? How did we stumble upon learning/teaching in this manner? I do not know how famous this style of teaching is, but if it is not that popular are we on to the future of how we may teach? At least for me this beats writing with a pencil for an hour in a classroom while absolutely no one is talking! We are able to express our feelings even after we leave the class room and not just being limited to what we are thinking about at 8:00 am and for me that is “Why did I stay up so late”. Sometimes people need a new environment to create new ideas and staying in the same class room for a whole semester hour after hour, it just ends up hurting us.

My Image that has earned my curiosity!

When I sent out to find a picture to talk about for my blog I honestly did not know what I wanted to pick! I man think about it, the VERY FIRST post you make is how everyone is going judge you right? So I asked myself should I make it funny. Or should my first post be a serious one or just plain oh boring? Well I guess you can say, I finally came to my answer and that was to post about something very unique. I find this room to be very unique. At first it looks somewhat like a person’s bedroom but after you look at all the details you realize it is most likely a set for a play. I guess I found it very interesting because I have always found birds to be very interesting. Such a small animal that has the ability to just leap off a branch or a building and nearly instantly fly. All they do is JUMP and open their wings and instantly they are soaring in the sky! There is no limit to where a bird can go, there is no law that says a bird cannot go beyond, this point, they are free truly free to soar in the wind as high and as fast as they want, to me at least, this is what I would call an amazing thing.
